Post Re: wiper spindle re production
To make life easier I'll avoid using terminology where possible
The bit that goes into the the linkage between the wiper motor and spindle. Or te arm onthe spindle
Or the dick is too bigfor the hole
Drilling the linkage would be difficult as it's a ball trapped in a hole (as a bearing) so only would spin like mad !!

Photo of original and new generation reproduction. Pin thickness is the same, just below 4 mm.

if you've not got the mechanical wherewithal to run a 4mm drill down a nylon bush your on a hiding to nothing if you think your going to be able to sculpt perfectly round and smooth bearing surface on a steel pin then cut a 0.5mm circlip groove using a bodgy diy tool like a dremmel.

i await to be proven wrong

James, before you start modding - I would be questioning why this supplier is selling a part that's known to be too big? It doesn't really make sense. I would send it back and just say its not right.

OK I'm the supplier, more than happy to refund or replace faulty parts but need the part to investigate. I can't see much difference between the 2 products. Waiting to see JW's photo.

It's too big
I'll measure it with a calaper,
I'll upload pics tonight when I get home an explain
Peter to the eye they look exactly the same
But the eye maybe can't judge .2mm which could be all it is stopping it going in
It is ever so marginal, however if it's too bit by .1mm it's too big !
Which it is
I recon the part has been re produced to tue size of the hole but not marginally smaller (enabling it to
Fit in) make sense??
