Re: Where was my 2cv made? The last 2cv to be made in Paris was on 29th Februrary 1988. If your car was made after that date it was made in Mangualde Portugal

If your car was made after that date it was made in Mangualde Portugal Made 9th sept 87 ,all things look french except plastic headlight bowls, one headlight had a later G reg number plate etched into glass,spoke to previous owner today who imformed me original lights rusted away,these plastic ones came from a scrap doner kit car

Re: Where was my 2cv made? As even the newest 2cv is 21 years old you've got to expect various parts rusting and being replaced.
I've usually found that the boot lid lasts pretty well so if you look at the black badge on the right, if it's got chevrons it's French ,without it's Portuguese.
Of interest in the 60's and 70's 2cvs were also made in Rennes Fr. Slough UK, Forest Belgium ,Vigo Spain,Koper Yugoslavia, Various countries in South America and Africa and Teheran Iran

Re: Where was my 2cv made? Thanks for reply,badges on left look original,badge on right looks new and has no chevrons,could be replacement badge 0r lasted better than the ones on the left,boot lid is original i think,possibly portugese then
