 Re: 1988 2cv D*lly bits and bobs
have you got a heavy flywheel? mine is quite rusty do you think thatll matter? while the engine is out for the chassis change im hopefully going to change the flywheel as well as fit higher compression pistons (the dyane oones!) and yes the steeringwheel is so much better!

 Re: 1988 2cv D*lly bits and bobs
No,I havent got one yet,but will probably fit one.Maybe I will wait until you have done yours and you can report back .It shouldnt matter if its rusty,as long as the surface the clutch plate drives on is clean and shiney, just clean off as much rust as you can.Dont know about the pistons, will they fit?

 Re: 1988 2cv D*lly bits and bobs
James,
I owe you a days work and you were excellent at helping me with the chassis swap on my car. It seems a shame you are not doing this for yourself when you are clearly very capable of doing so.
Anyway, should this be of help, you would be welcome to use my place to do your chassis change. If spanners knows of a second hand good un and you can get it here, we can do as before and get it all swapped in a day. The only thing that might be a snag is the bulkhead. That is not a problem as we can do that, but it might take longer than a single day to to get everythng sorted. If you can work out the logistics with the distance then I am up for helping you.
Also if you could just borrow a place near you then again I owe you so happy to come over and give you a days work should you want to have a go yourself.
Anyway, just another thought for you !
