The chassis and body of this car has been build for one of our customers 13 years ago 4 years ago we bought it back. We made it a little bit more off road minded by fitting 165 Vredesteins, adjusting suspension and suspension stops, inner driveshafts made a bit longer, fitting the big shopabsorbers at the front, adding a lower gearbox with aotomatic differential lock, finaly I fitted a Visa 652 engine running the normal electronic 2cv ignition.
This year 2011 we were going to travel arround in Morocco partley off road.
For this reason we made the car ligther by adding: fiberglas wings, aluminium frontbumper and undertray, + removing: rearbumper, tow hook, backseat, hood, backlid, and the 2 rearvindows, at the bonnet I made, in aluminuim and glued on, a place for the sparewheel, since there is no place for the bigger wheels anywhere else and it adds weigt to the front wheels and lock cool.
Then I build and added a backpack for the car. I build it in 0,75 mm aluminium for the sidepanels and backdoor, the roof, that carries a roof-tent, was mad in a sanwich construction from 2mm aeroplane plywood and foam.
Just inside the reardoor I made a tabel with a twin gas-stove.
At the end the car with the roof tent is lighter than the standard 2cv.
The colours are, Gris Sable from 1963 for the body and Gris Rose for the bumpers and smaler things.
Plans for the future are: tool box and place for ekstra oil under the bonnet.
More advanced kitchen in the rear including zink and a watertank under the one frontseat.
Exchacnce the rear doorwindows to 3 mm polycarbonate.
Also the tent witch was made wery quickly in one night, worked justed fine, but we want the improve it.
