 New *Harley* type coil
Hi, I've received my new Harley type coil from eBay. Made up some flyleads for the LT at work and now need a couple of HT leads. Could someone who has one of these tell me how long the HT leads need to be, before I go and bother my local factors for some? (Running on normal vanilla 1-2-3 iginition and I'm guessing I just need to take the current bullet connectors off the existing coil and connect them to my male bullet connectors. Polarity isn't an issue is it?) Cheers,

Tim,
The Accel leads supplied with my Harley coil measure 600mm from end to end (boots included).

Having great difficulty getting hold of some HT leads now ! Tried two m/bike shops, three old fashioned garages and two factors. Halfords as a last resort !!

Failing that, have a word with Geoff or Ken & see what they use. If you do get super stuck, although i can't imagine you will, i do have a pair of yellow accel leads here that came with the coil i bought for the Acadiane, but were too short - perfect for a 2cv.

The coil I have requires a male connector (to go into a hole), so the leads that Roy does will not fit (already asked him!). If you look at the photo, the structures at the bottom of the unit have a hole that the HT lead will have to fit in (probably with the boot going over the outside), so I'll need male on the coil end with female on the plug end

Tim, the 'coil' ends which you're after are the standard type for old-fashioned distributors. Check your messages on FB? ken chopper602 wrote: Joe wrote: are the leads that come with the yellow harley coil on ecas the right ones? i have a decent spare pair of those that you are welcome to.
