Post Re: Ami Super Service van
by the way any body got pics of an ami super engine compartment with the engine and gearbox in place and working. I havent got a clue what this is suppose to look like when im finished.

got the back wings off tonight and rear bumper. the 4 doors are for sale as well as the front panel minus grill thats already sold. there could be other parts as well roof lining ( I have 3 now in good nick only really need 1). some dash parts are scrap as they were broken prior to me getting there. pm me if anything sounds usefull. still got the doors and bonnet from when i got the van as well so i need to clear some of this stuff

yes neil I am. Got a bit of work to do first got to take off the running gear from another chassis and put it on the van chassis . Im doing this because of the lowered turned arms and lenghtened tie rods that are on the van at the moment.

up date on the ami 8 estate. body ready to come off the chassis all body panels removed except for the doors. seats out wiring loom out interior out. 1 question is an ami 8 lhd wiper moter in the same place as a rhd ami super? i will find out when i stip the van down to sort the bulkheads out. They actually look very similar in thier stipped down state. any one want some ami parts say now as ive just an ad into 2cvgb news...

will if you mean the front door pillers there really isnt much left to chop out of the van they are shit. the doors only stay on when shut. thats half the reason im changing the body shell theres nothing left from the waist down at the front no box sections at the rear. lower bulk head is missing completly ,roof gutter missing front floors and sills rusted out completly. luckily the bits i need to do the body swap ie the van sides are the only parts left not rotten. that and the glass

I did wonder if that would be the case. They always seem to go there, poor drainage I guess. Thanks anyway. I wasn't sure if the profile would be exactly the same on an Ami 8???

cheers
