Re: Belgian built 1969 AK350 'Hetty'
This is now completely off topic, sorry...but just replying !
SCUM camp - I know little or nothing about it. I have never been to it.
I believe it is run by a guy called Andy Briggs, who may or may not be on this forum, again I dont know. He is a great bloke and once I brought a load of wind up grammophones from him. He has a load of A series and a few H vans. My understanding is that this is a camp for all sorts of mad bonkers stuff. Its not connected with any club or group as far as I am aware, just an event that kind of "happens" in some fileds that I believe his mum owns.
The dates this year are 23rd June until 26th June and its somewhere in Kent...I havnt yet worked out where.
As I say, never been to it, but Andy is great and has loads of mad old stuff. There are many things going on including a session on the Saturday night where people turn up and play all sorts of stupid instruments and generally have a bonkers time. Drinking I believe is occasionally involved.
I understand SCUM stands for "Southern Citroen Utility Movement"...because it was started by people in the area who had H vans and various 2CV type vans.
Myself and Mrs Squeeze are going to go, but cant get there until the Saturday....so just stay over one night....and yes I will be taking Squeezeboxes and we may even get any of you up to learn a Morris Dance...
Not sure what this has to do with your thread...but hope to see any of you at the SCUM camp....PM me if you want more details as I will find stuff out and let you know!

That sounds interesting. I used to collect wind ups and still have a few. Andy is definitely on the 'other' forum. Maybe I'll pm him and see 'what's occurring.'

OK, was good to have met you Mr knightley last weekend.
I am concerned that this thread isnt now about Sams van...but I dont know anything much about the SCUM camp to start a thread about it. I am not currently on the "other forum" so cant help with postings from there either....
....OK...."taking the bull by the ....err...thing....
will start a thread after all.....but it wont have much information in it as I dont know much about it !!
...........So Sam...how is the van ?....anything to report back ? Did you work out the oil leak on the off side ?

Still a bit damp on that side. She's tucked back in the barn now - I was in need of a D*lly fix! She'll be out again in a week or so when I start preping D*lly for France.
