 psi's , in the tyres so just fitted my new wheels and tyres on the car,
now when i put them on, one was flat ish and the others pumped up a lot
3 where about 38 and the other was about 2
so i lowered down to 20 at front and 26 at the back,
now i think the tyres (mich x 135's) say up to 50 psi ish, now i know thats the max not the suggested, but would running with more than 26 and 20 (say 30 and 36) be ok?
silly question course theyd be ok, but is that a silly idea
ps 135's are the cats pyjamas, road holding is superb, feltlike i was on rails going around the corner!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Re: psi's , in the tyres I'm sure this has previously been discussed elsewhere, but for what it's worth, the driver's handbook cites for 135's, 20psi front, 26 psi rear, and 29psi for the spare.
This to my way of thinking is counter-intuitive, as I would suspect that the front wheels are more heavily laden than the rear. The reason for this apparent anomaly will probably remain forever a mystery, I suspect.

Re: psi's , in the tyres I run with 26 all round,including the spare, makes for a little lighter steering, if there is such a thing on a 2cv and each wheel is then interchangable

Re: psi's , in the tyres Plus side of over-inflating above a cars recommendation = better economy from less friction and maybe slightly lighter steering
Down side = tyres will wear out quicker and it may be scary when you hoon it round corners, in the rain or other adverse conditions.

Re: psi's , in the tyres James, haven't you answered your own question with the comments highlighted below? Worth checking the label again before reaching for the tyre inflator, as 135 ZXs are rated at 36 psi maximum pressure, at which they can carry 880 lbs, iirc.
