   |   Re: Leboncoin/eBay findsEvery post's got a button on it to click on to complain to the admin bois, down the bottom right.
Click on that, and the admins get a message asking 'em to do something about it.

I'd agree with you, Jon - it's bad taste. But this is I2F, not 2cvgb. Nobody promised nobody would ever be offended by stuff...

I'm not complaining about it per se but it is poor taste. Just have a fucking thread dedicated to it rather than turning (seemingly) every thread into a "kitten stomping" thread? At least that way, I don't just happen upon it whether I like it or not!

   |   Re: Leboncoin/eBay findsNo, it's not, but a *bit* of self-moderation doesn't go amiss sometimes... You'll notice that all the people who have posted publicly have made a point of *not* clicking on the complain button - with a bit of care and tact, there's no need for complaints and moderation.

   |   Re: Leboncoin/eBay findsIf we removed everything like that because one or two people (maybe rightly so) don't like it then where do you draw the line? To be honest unless it's something that pisses off one of the moderators it's unlikely we'd do anything anyway, you'd end up with every thing slightly offensive being removed and a million complaints to look forward to every time we logged in. Better to have some close to the knuckle stuff than a blanket ban on anything slightly comic. _________________

   |   Re: Leboncoin/eBay findsI, too, have not complained 'officially' as I respect the right of people to - what ? Push things? Even 'humour'?
But I think Spanners and Luke have it spot on. Self-moderation is best. And it's best when it works. **cough**

   |   Re: Leboncoin/eBay findsWot the ph*que have road kill shots really got to do with the supposed thread title I've just looked into?If you want to start up a REAL road kill thread, go for it; I've got something on file that will really make all of you puke, but for Chrissake, can we try to get back to the theme of Leboncoin/ebay finds?
