Post Re: My 2cv
As I mentioned in the previous post, the dip-beam has been causing me some issues, so I had a fiddle with the connector block on the relay earlier. It was very green with that corrosion you tend to get on electrical wiring/connectors, so I've sprayed some WD40 in there and just worked the connector on and off a few times to try and clean it up. Fingers crossed, it's hopefully fix now.

Got a week off now so I'm looking to go away :D Can't make up my mind where to go, I have two choices, France or Scotland.

There's a 2CV meeting in Wingles just north of Lens that I'm thinking of going to, but I also quite fancy a drive to northern Scotland and drive round the north coast road (a favourite road of mine). Choices, choices  What should I do?

James & Jonathan,
if you've done the right thing with dim-dip, which is to get rid of everything associated with it, there shouldn't be any relays to go wrong...

Unlike some Restoration Houses that fit 2 spanking new relays.....but no resistor just an exhaust burnt plug flapping in the wind

One day im going to do the photo blog of how to do a dim dip to fused headlights
Just need a car with dim dip.......

Sun, good food and wine, and long tree lined empty roads, or sleet, fried Mars bars, and red heads called Morag. Tough call.

Nail fuck off- do you all eat black pudding, spark your clogs on the cobbles takin the wippet down the social?

go to Scotland drive the Bealach over to Applecross, granted the campsites a bit expensive but the food in the pub would have any garlick muncher crying into his glass of vin ordanire. Not a cloud in the sky for the last 2 days

the seafood is so fresh it is still twitching on the plate.

the roads are empty, there are mountains and alpine passes, white coral sand beaches

(we try to keep it quiet so the likes of Nail don't come up and spoil it with their whinging- and red heads! Karen Gillan

Ah yes, France...The country with crazy drivers, half eaten horses on the side of the road, frogs that can't jump coz they are missing their back legs, everything I eat on a plate is floating on a puddle of olive oil, and being ripped off by the ferry company if I want to come back to Blighty a bit earlier because of all of above and much more.

I had a French registered Clio do some crazy overtaking on a busy road in Worcester a few days ago and it brought it home to me how mad the roads out there can be. ;)

PS:- Still can't make my mind up  I should be in the car heading north or south by now.
