 Re: Sparkplug- insert or helicoil
Yes know all about inserts coming our and helicoils too. However helicoils are much easier to replace, I recon. The Time-Serts seam the way to go Thanks for the links, good stuff. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=RvmL0pEp ... dded#at=55http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=qFSyfY1V ... r_embedded

 Re: Sparkplug- insert or helicoil
Sam..its a replacement thread in effect in the cylinder head - you over bore the knackered thread then wind in a "new" thread - the helicoil - with special tools and voila new thread for your plug.

 Re: Sparkplug- insert or helicoil
Yeh - they are really good - I have re-threaded both the front oil feed unions on Steves Dudley with a helicoil kit and they are wicked.

 Re: Sparkplug- insert or helicoil
Been in touch with Wurth UK asking for prices. Bugger they don't export and quoted 250 pounds. Time sert not available in France Can this be done cheaper? Thanks in advance http://www.timesert.co.uk/catalogue/pdf ... 2_0596.pdf
