Hi All, I'm building up a 2cv that is having the AZAM aluminium window trims fitted all round. Over the course of several years I've tracked down the complete set of it including the post '65 rear quarter window pieces, and the correct windscreen rubber with the slot in it. The rear door rubbers never had the slot deleted so I'm sorted there too. I've hit a bit of a quandry over what should be done with the rear quarter windows.
Basically the correct actual rubbers for these windows appear to be total gold-dust. I've spent a pretty long time checking ebay France and Le Boncoin for a pair without success and while I keep looking my options seem to be:
1) Using the rear door rubber fits but stands well proud of the body metal once in and just looks a bit weird. Is this how they were in period? 2) The windscreen rubber (different cross section to the side window rubber) fits much better and looks more correct. You can buy them new from Der Franzose but one windscreen rubber won't quite do both side windows, and two of them is getting on towards £150! Theres also the issue that I can't bond the two ends together preventing the rubber from shrinking leaving a gap somewhere around the glass. 3) It looks like on normal quarter window rubbers without the slot that you could get the inner part of the alu trim literally in against the glass instead of being in a slot in the rubber. I think its fair to assume this might be a bit of a pisser to do though, and given the alu trim is already 45 years old and pretty fragile I can see it bending / splitting and me generally ending up with a mess.
What I want to know from someone who has an original AZAM or has taken the rear quarter windows out of one, which type of rubber is correct. Is it 1, 2 or 3 or something different again? What is normal? Am I normal?
Anyone?
If anyone has the original rubbers for sale I would of course like to hear from you!

Re: AZAM 1/4 Window Rubbers
Ami 2CV has the AZAM windscreen rubber for 40 Euros
Hi there twofifty, Cheers for this. I've not come across them before. They do the actual rear quarter windows with the rubbers and trims if you want to shell out a hundred euros each side!
