 Rinspeed Invent an Electric Mehari
Yes the Swiss have done it again and it seems reinvented the Mehari.
Closer investigation of the photos show that maybe its more 2CV than at first appears. 3 Stud 15 inch alloys and look a 2CV handbrake lever... the plot thickens...

And they've called it the Bamboo, too... http://www.autoblog.com/2011/02/16/rins ... of-geneva/The roof looks familiar... They reckon it'll be in the flesh at the Geneva Motor Show - start of next month. http://www.salon-auto.ch/en/I reckon the coincidence might be deliberate... http://www.autoblog.com/2010/12/01/rins ... eva-debut/Quote: This open-top vehicle awakens the longing for sun, summer, for lightness and easiness, the desire to be at the beach. It is a reminiscence of the Seventies, of the south of France and St. Tropez. And one would expect to find Brigitte Bardot behind the wheel with playboy Gunther Sachs at her side heading towards Tahiti beach. Or an MDF superstructure starring Colin Jenks making crepes...?

And you know its going to cost shed loads, and its Swiss so it will be very neutral. Bit like me.

I like the universal joint on the steering column - that would be great in a Mehari

Quote: and might save you getting the wheel in your face in an impact. It's a Mehari. Getting the wheel in your face will probably be the best possible coup de grace.
