Looks like there's half a chance I may be able to get on with the Ami this weekend-once I've done the service on my friends Polo that is.

I really need to get stuck into it now as I'm losing my motivation. On that note, if anybody else is doing anything similar to their cars, please post on the forum-it might just spur me on to pull my finger out and crack on! ;)

Hire a trailer, scrounge a towing vehicle and get yourself to France and buy this.

Probably only 5 hours or so from you. 8-)

Oh, and good work, Spanners!

I'm currently just conveniently ignoring the roof on mine-it's pretty bloody awful (as you'd expect) and getting on with everything else.

I have a man who can when it gets to the awkward bits. He used to build Petter Solbergs rally cars when he worked at Prodrive (as amongst other things) so he knows how to do awkward stuff!

Actually, it's all well and good saying I have a man who can, it just depends on whether he'll be a man who will.......

It's a good job Mrs Spanners can talk sense into me-I have just enough "spare" cash lying around to afford that 6 at the moment.

But Rachael pointed out that it would probably be an idea to finish the 8 before I go getting any more rust!
