Post Suspension Cans
Hi everyone,I am overhauling the suspension cans on my car and have read the Post on 2cv suspension many times before I started the job,but I would be grateful for clarification on the correct position of the springs.
Is it- short spring, long rod at the back and long spring, short rod at the front?
Also,is there a starting point for threading the tie rod end on? (amount of turns from end of rod) I realise they will need adjusting when the car is fully assembled.

Yes,
that arrangement of springs and rods is correct, at least for the 'small canister' versions...
Citroen being Citroen, that rule doesn't apply to the Ami, AKS400 and Acadiane type.

With the droop stops in place at the front and both front and rear arms on full droop, wind the rear rod in until all play has 'just' been taken up, but leave the front rods about 5 turns slack.
That's quite a good starting point before the fine tuning is started. ;)
