Thanks all - last time I lifted it I ended up in a really bad way, unable to move for 36 hours / diazapam / peeing in an ice-cream tub in bed etc. etc.

like sean said it's the awkward leaning + the lifting that does it. And lifting with your legs is okay if you can get square under the weight.....

the front only came off in 50 minutes, including getting the tools & lamps out and storing the front in the shed - with this snow, by the time i'm ready to do the split, my mate will be round to help....xmas parties / shopping / snow makes the whole thing harder

did mine last month lifting a Y bottle of argoshield "light"...was it nowt! i couldnt lie down had to spend most of the day standing till it was too much then it was diazepam and try and time it so that the pain killer kicked in but i was still able to get upstairs.

3weeks of work, then it snowed,so 4 weeks without work or income ....not good!

Sounds like hell Sean - the pain can sort of wind you, backs can be so bad - last time i did
mine, i went to a chiropractor - bad move!!!! very bad move!!!! it went into spasm and didn't stop til the diaz + codeine zonked me out....

one word mate - PILATES

amazing, amazing transformation - seriously, i know it's got a stigma of being for old ladys etc. but i couldn't recomend it enough
