 Wiper motor
Burning out left right center and I'm running out of good used. Only Cassis has new most likely reproduction but have not tried yet. First thing that spring in to my mind is: Is it possible to reconditoned these motors or is it good night once the smoke pours out.

or some attention to the spindles and linkages, clean out the solid ear wax in the gear box replace it with nice white lithium grease and a polish of the armiture before it goes up in smoke S

I see no reason why not. bet the motor and box arent even 2cv specific, its the relationship between bell crank and the spindle cranks that affect the arc of the wipers etc. wouldnt be surprised if Valeo just found something that was small enough to fit inside the lump in the "dash" that the old pepperpot recently vacated saw something VERY familiar inside the talegate of the 106 @ Viking wouldnt be surprised if there was an "armature and motor rewinding service" in the nearest city with a decent industrial area Sean

Taken a few 2cv startes and alternators around to a few places but the prices they want is more than new Complete rip off

 Re: Wiper motor
This is what a burned out wiper motor looks like, caused by one wiper spindle not turning. All other connections, linkage etc were OK

dave 411 wrote: Viking,to me that looks pretty shagged. Pretty much f....d, bin time. As Sean mentioned, servicing the wiper linkage and wiper spindles will most properly see the motor go on forever but reality is somehow different. Not many folks pays attention to it. It like ''set it and forgot it''
