 Points
What's likely to have caused the untimely demise of the top (fixed) contact of my cars points? I'll Wang a photo up later but the entire contact appears to have burnt away since they were fitted new back in July. Never had a set do that before, I'm assuming something mustve caused it.

usually the condenser Aftermarket coil? too much current (not high enough resistance should be 3.5-4Ohms) too much current voltage reg OK?
and they were Dicellier/valeo ones not inermotor made of chocolate ones?

Thanks Sean.
Changed condenser anyway, it's got a slightly duff coil and for the first few miles it was overcharging. All bases covered there then...

ive always been told by people when you change the points to change the condenser at the same time,
if thats any help

must have had a bit of a top end misfire?
or were you putting that down to coil?
