Janez small correction for the bumper holes. I gave you 250.5 mm between the tubes, should have been 255.0 measured from center to center.

Used a file and problem solved in a flash, no worries.

The AK 400 panel is the same except holes are bigger.

Lining the panels up is good fun, when things fit.





One thing I missed was the back panel between the cross box and the rear vertical panel but easy done.



Looking forward to spring, only 2 degrees in the garage. IT IS F......G COLD.

Hi all - as I might have been, in all probability, one of those "bloody customers" I'd just like to say what a great forum this is for a brand-new 2CV owner - and thanks, Peter in particular: a picture is worth a thousand words. Yours have spoken millions!
The new shockies arrived just fine, but I discovered in the meantime the rears (Lips) on my car had been installed arse about and upside down. All fixed now, but don't really notice much difference in ride/handling. Saving the new shocks for later, maybe. Am still trying to understand the knife edges - I guess current technology would instead have used "rose (ball) joints".

I can recommend South Australia - today is going to be unseasonably cold at 20°C - no rain.

Thanks mate for the kind words. Mate please ship some Adelaide heat to France, I'm frezzing my balls off. Really miss the Oz weather with summer temps around 40+ degrees. Yes this forum is one of the best. Feel free to ask any questions you like, plenty of opinions here and a sea of knowledge too.

An UK fellow (local) want to sell me this thing. Lovely to work in front of but move 1 meter away sideway and you don't feel the heat at all. Can't decide to buy it or let it go...!!!

Those space heaters are pretty good at throwing some heat into a big space. Unfortunately they also create an awful lot of moisture while doing so because they exhaust into the workspace.

I used to have a wood burning pot bellied stove in the workshop. If you have a ready source of scrap wood it is a brilliant way of heating the workshop. And there were bacon sarnies for lunch........

An hour or two to make, gets so hot the bottle glows red. The way forward.

Winter is over, I can continue work on Odin. Done nothing since Nov, too bloody freezing cold. Thanks to Janez in Slovenia, the rear cross bar is now in place and it fitted nicely, thanks Janez.
Working on the side panels now. Bloody reproduction panels do not fit very well. Lining up the rear side panel mating the sparewheel flap is just hard. The sparewheel panel is way off. Had to cut the hinge off and move over the original. The panel was hanging too low so the two lock didn't fit. At the same time, the lock holders are also too big in diameter. The spring didn't have any effect just moving around with no tension on. Had to move over the original holders. What a f...g nightmare fitting these crap reproduction panels.
