I'm sure a lad of your young years has a lot of pressure to write all this 'Ftw' and other text talk, so it's good to see you making the effort.

ive never been a fan of using words like ftw, fml, and such, they just piss me off, ive always looked at alot of other people my age and thought how disrespectful to the world they are, i think im just a grumpy old man in a teenager body so many things annoy me, watching grumpy old men on tv, is just me all over anyway street cred? if anything its gained me street cred, i never parked outside college, as i feared for my car, you known, crisp packets up exhausts, banas and so forth, so my car was never seen to much, but after a few months every knew i owned one (i was never in denial and always proud to own one) and they all thought it was cool if im honest,
ill never forget, there was a slag in my year at school who left, and i was picking up the mrs in chichester, and she came out the connexctions centre, was with one of her mates, looks at my car (peering in through the open roof) wtf is that, thats a pile of shit, wtf, then she looks at the gear stick, wtf is that oh my wtf wtf, she then turned to her friend and goes, piecea shit innit, her friend goes, no i really like it its soo cool! the look on her face as she went, oh yer i supose i really like it too.
i think a 2cv is the kind of car everyyone loves, but many feel that they should hate it otherwise they may be "disowned" or considered "a bit wiered" by there friends, which i think is stupid!!

i find i can happily drive past a chav who is on there own, no abuse, just look at the car and carry on, but a group, and they all show me how 'ard they are by throwing abuse, but i think its just funny and pathetic and carry on!!

Jameswallace: good on you! I used to get serious stick for the 2cv that I bought when I was 18. Helped me to suss the wheat from the chaff, though. It was the original multi-tasking device: a bullshit detector that you could also use to get you around the country! Fantastic!

Perhaps I'm reading too much into it all, but I get the impression that O-N appreciates having this forum as an 'outlet' for his pondering as much as we clearly enjoy reading about them. I get the feeling it's more 'personal' this way - he's talking to peeps he knows he has something in common with, and that connection helps. Or, perhaps I'm just being greedy - perhaps I don't want O-N's musings to be on a blog accessible to anyone at random - and then we are thrown a casual 'if you want to' link to it, almost as an aside...

Anyways, if no dedicated O/T Forum, then surely no problem him carrying on his musings at length on either the current, half-baked, 'O/T' Thread, or else on the 'old blue...'?
