Re: Handbrake adjustment/pad replacement (disk brake motor)
Marvellous thanks again think i'll print the page off ,better than the manual. I've got a suitable 14 mm spanner Ken ,might have to lash up or buy an eccentric holder .

Re: Handbrake adjustment/pad replacement (disk brake motor)
Small tip. Check the run-out of the disk before adjusting the pads. Use feeler-gauge between the disk and the pads roughly between 0.10-0.20 (depending on disk run-out). If pads are too close to the disk(s) you'll hear the famour cricket (pads too close to disk)

Just tried this with Sam at snet this morning, seems the near side eccentrics just keep turning. The off side took 3 turns to snug with 3 clicks Sounds like new handbrake pads??

Re: Handbrake adjustment/pad replacement (disk brake motor)
Two pages in and nobody has mentioned using a couple of 2p coins (5francs, €0.50 etc) behind the pads to extend their lifespan?
