 Re: Heavy Duty Battery?
When I went to Raid Poronkusema in 2009 I swapped the 2cv battery for the Xsara diesel battery and it was ace at starting the car at -20c. No idea what the amps is but I'll have a look in the morning.

 Re: Heavy Duty Battery?
If that's any heavier than a standard battery you might want to reinforce the bulkhead, they tend to fatigue on later cars.

 Re: Heavy Duty Battery?
Or what about welding the bulkhead back together and using the reinforcement from an older 2cv?

 Re: Heavy Duty Battery?
Russell, tell me more about using the older 2cv part.My bulkhead has cracked in 3 places and i need to fix it.I was going to just weld up the cracks, but if a better way is possible and stronger then thats the way to go

 Re: Heavy Duty Battery?
Doesn't anyone make weld on bulkhead re-enforcing panels, I'm surprised if not?

Jonathan wrote: http://www.ecas2cvparts.co.uk/battery-support-bulkhead-crack-repair-frame-p-522.html I got one of those last year. Welded the split up 1st, then treated the metal and painted it up to prevent Mr Rust coming back, then installed the repair frame. Works a treat! Without the frame, the bulkhead's always going to be under a lot of pressure from the weight of the batter, particularly at the point of repair.
