Have you tried sleeping in those? And they don't block out subsonics which you feel as much as hear.

I can't say I have, I'm usually too busy demonstrating my coolness.

Great sub! Have this one in the pick up.
Hooked up to a Pioneer DEH-4000UB radio. In the doors are 16,5cm Pioneer speakers, connected direct to the radio. These will be swapped with a composet one day, powerd by a small amp.

The ami has got a Pioneer DEH-2200UB radio, with Caliber speakers (40watt rms) on the dash. Ami's got a simple stereo system. No subs or so to make sure the car can be used what it's made for.. Transportation of larger things.

Ten year old Alpine radio/cassette, Infinity speakers in front doors.

Twelve disc Alpine cd changer under back seat.

Alpine six by nines hidden in home made back shelf.

Alpine mono amp under back seat to drive this:

Little Kicker sub box in the boot.

Sounds great and I can hear it at any speed, although the front speakers are as good as useless and look daft so they'll be going soon to be replaced by nothing more than a pair of Alpine tweeters.

I have a sony gtx-head unit which I plug my iPod into. 2x Vibe 4" speakers under the parcel shelf, 2 of the same in some 4" drain pipe under the back seat (home made torpedo type thing) and an 800w active Fli sub in the boot (the same as Louis' and Neil's I think). Sounds great :)

Nowt. I've never been much of a one for music while I'm on the move. Radio 4 in the truck, and occasionally - if I can be arsed to set it up - my ipod via one of those transmitter things. But I prefer to listen to the voices in my head competing with the engine noise in my cars. :)

The more important question, I'd have thought, is what sort of music are you actually listening to? I have less than no interest in stereo equipment (as long as it's good quality stuff) but I do like my music, anything from Nick Drake and Colin Reid to the Eagles of Death Metal via the Jon Spencer Blues Explosion and the Pixies.

I haven't got a radio in my 2CV, I dare not fit one as I don't tend to keep cars too long.

I could do with a sub though as the damn car fills with water at the merest hint of rain!!

I tried so many times to just fit a simple Cd/ radio thing and a couple of speakers...but as Spanners says....its all so dam wet in there...its hard to hear anything when wearing a snorkel, flippers and mask...

Anyone ever mounted anything above the water line....like above the vent flap....above a leaking roof.....maybe in a sealed box on a roof rack.....??....preferaby in the spare car in the garage at home !!!

Just don't have a head unit and hide the amp somewhere it won't get wet.
