Post dim dip, nightmare
so i was going through the process, as instructed of removing dim dip, (and i hope im wrong, in what i think is happening) ive briged it etc and done the silver thingy etc, and removed both relays (in order to bridge the one with 5 on) and the side lights are still lit (well one of them is cos the other one the bulb has gone!) is it the side lights that are lit through the dim dip or the filament of the full beam or am i being a muppet (be nice when you answer that :D  )

Dim-dip makes the dip beam glow dimly when sidelights are on AND the ignition is on. Or, rather, that's what it should do.

also, fitting halogens, and removing dim dip will save my switch from, warming up a bit?

or do i need to fit relays as suggested ?

Halogen bulbs draw more current, so will warm the switch up more.
Dim-dip doesn't affect the lighting directly on anything but sidelights, so probably won't make a difference.
