 Gear box pinion circlip
Looking for an UK mob to produce these circlips in spring steel. This one is mild steel and can not be reused. Any help is much appreciated

 Re: Gear box pinion circlip
I'd be very surprised if those need reproducing, they're generally used in standard sizes. However that isn't a circlip, that is a snap ring or Eaton ring. It should be available off the shelf.

Viking, any chance you can put the vernier on it and give us a few critical dimentions

Sean Thickness, well the old vary from 2.30-2.40-2.50 mm. 2.50 mm would be new, no wear. The groove in the pinion is max 2.80 mm wide. Outside diameter 36.25 mm measured on one ring still on the pinion. The removed rings are much bigger in diameter. Inside diameter. Can't measure correctly but groove on the pinion is 27.80 mm

twofifty AZU wrote: http://lmgtfy.com/?q=snap+ring%2Beaton Thanks for the link. Can't find the ring I need. I wonder if any in the UK would have the same rings for sale. The link is for an US firm, most likely impossible to deal with. Cheers Viking

 Re: Gear box pinion circlip
had a look last night but cant seem to find any of the right thickness yet
for what its worth they seem to like the dimention of the shaft (guessed at 30mm) that the groove is in rather than the diameter of the base of the groove.
ill have another trawl about later
