Re: What's this thing on my carb... its unlikley to be coke a pinking engine will , as Ken said, most likley be timed wrong (or on super crappy petrol-unlikley) 123s can still be set wrong, how far is it "retarded", whats it doing at full advance? if you dont know then its just been guesstemated. 32° is a nice safe maximum advance (DA typing speed and brain speed out of kilter again points are in the bin on this car  ) Sean
