How will you know who the technical gurus are, if they only share their knowledge by p.m.?
By searching through replies to other questions on the forum, you can decide who you think knows what they are talking about.

To be fair, the first line in Roys post says it all;

It's about choice really isn't it? If you want a straightforward no nonsense answer, ask one person-in this case a tech guru. But, if you want the "banter", ask on a forum.

That's how I read it anyway.

Well it would have happened again today, but luckily before work I decided to check my nuts and they were loose on the nearside rear shocker. Tightened them up but I think I'm gonna need to keep checking them!

Maybe a drip of loctite on the threads would help? I appreciate it'll be a twat to remove if it should break, but hopefully it'll stop them dropping out like they are. Also, loctite is easy enough to overcome with a bit of heat anyway.

For what it's worth, my racer uses a Frome racing chassis which also used bolts for the shocks-I've put longer bolts in with nuts on the back of them too.

I don't have any shock absorber dropping off issues. :ugeek:

There's space for me to do that actually, also I'll add some loctite. I want to get the cans offf and actually put some oil in them so I'll get the shocks off at the same time and do that :)

No need to remove the cans, a funnel and a bit of tube will work. Much easier to risk spilling some than removing the cans. If you put a nut on the back then use a nyloc and nont bother with loctite.
