I 'think' it's on AKS400 running gear as well, certainly one of the best vehicles I've worked on... ;)

I'm really quite tempted. I like the 400 thats on at the moment too, but prefer the lower roof of the 250.

So it's a genuine 250 body shell?

Ideally I'd like a 350, long and low. There was a Rico on ebay a while back but I'd feel a fraud having a plastic van, despite the non rusting advantage.

It depends on the type of old shit you use. Old bird shit will dissolve in rain and be too powdery in the sunshine. Dog shits probably better, cat shit smells too much, and because of the nature of it, you'd never know if it was from your own cat. I suggest horse shit personally, but not too fresh, wait for a harder crust to develop then pop it on a baking tray and in the oven for half an hour or so to ensure it's solidified all the way through. Once fully hardened, I suggest using a holesaw to cut a blank slightly larger than required, then your local machine shop should be able to turn it to the correct profile and tap it out using thier lathe. If you found a big enough horse you could probably have enough offcuts to fashion some matching drinks coasters, or even some one off jewelery for the wife.
