 running in 2cv
hi all
I has the cylinder heads replaced and was told to run it in, do I actually need to run it in properly and if so what would you all recommend the best way of doing so?
Thanks

By taking a good fast run at the person who advised you that cylinder heads needed 'running in'... ken Justint wrote: hi all I has the cylinder heads replaced and was told to run it in, do I actually need to run it in properly and if so what would you all recommend the best way of doing so? Thanks

Hard and fast in every gear. Pied a plancher as they say in France. Wakes em up.

 Re: running in 2cv
today I was cruising along at 60mph and I thought I wonder how quick it will pickup speed... wow! they don't half shift! no drone "what are you doing to me?" just eager "yay! lets go captain!"

 Re: running in 2cv
What, exactly, have you had replaced, and was it with new or used parts?
I must be missing something - or is the 2CV's completely different to every other internal combustion engine (don't answer...) - but shouldn't he be takin' it a bit easy for a few 100 miles at least?
