 Re: Hub adaptors
I seen to remember Hub adaptors which are commercially available from some French 2cv people are bloody expensive. More than the wheels you're likely to fit expensive.
Get hold of some Peugeot wheels, tyres for the ones I got were only £160 for four, admittedly not proper tyres, but good enough to look cool. If you buy 403 wheels you won't even need to buy new wheels nuts, as 2cv nuts fit.
It's VERY hard to fit alloys to a 2cv without it looking stupid. The shape of the car, espescially to somebody who's been around them a long time looks immediately 'wrong' with almost all the alloys I've ever seen fitted. It's like a channeled car, or a sidewinder, it just looks wrong, regardless how minimal it actually is.

 Re: Hub adaptors
For anyone considering fitting Smart wheels, I believe it's only the front set that fit under the wings, the rears are too wide.....Or so I've been told by quite a few people "in the know".

 Re: Hub adaptors
The wheels on that Ami were (this might be factually incorrect) made by a company called Weller who made a lot of wheels for oval racing, I think, comissioned by Charles Maharry.

 Re: Hub adaptors
Those rims were, IIRC, designed by a 2cv specialist in the UK, Charlie Maharry. They were built by Weller wheels & sold through his workshop & through the 2CVGB club magazine during the mid 1990's.
