It was rather windy at the time, and I could see the caravan swaying gently, side to side Well the gentle swaying very quickly got out of control , there was smoke coming off the caravan tyres and it was very reminiscent of a bucking bronco, how the hell the mature gent driving the 75 managed to get it under control is beyond me, I don't often feel scared when driving, but I was right shitting myself at that moment. I just very quickly raced past and ensured he couldn't overtake me again, which wasn't easy...I was towing the Combi-Camp at the time. Heading up to the Lindisfarne Easter camp a few years back, there was a lot of cones on the A1. Down in a dip, there was a Volvo V40 parked in L1 with a caravan behind him. On it's side. With the Volvo still hitched up, and the rear wheels about 3ft in the air... Was on the A82 between Tyndrum and Bridge of Orchy, (again towing the Combi-Camp with the 2cv)and as I rounded a bend at around 55/60mph I saw a recovery truck trying to remove a Volvo from a large bush just off the road(the driver was lucky the bush stopped him going any further ). All I could think was-How the hell did he manage that in a modern car, and not towing anything? -I was in full control of 2cv and trailer-tent).

 Re: Eriba Puck
we have an eriba puck. dad tows it with the ami or rudolph. on the way back from reg day last year the brakes seized on on the ami so i pulled the puck back with my acad. it towed it great 60mph on the flat / down hill 45mph uphill. but then again i got good engine in the van and also where the van is higher the drag effect is less than than a 2cv would off been. i dont like caravans but i think sarah would like me to use it if dad will lend it me. the acad is off the road this year but maybe i can borrow it next year.

You can't knock Fred West, he was a fantastic builder. Neighbours once reported that they'd gone to bed late one night and when they woke up Fred had managed to lay a whole new patio.

HAHAHAHA, well he didn't need any aggregate to level it off before he laid the paving stones did he. that must have saved some time. Myra hindley walking on the moors at night with a group of 10 year olds. one of them says "Myra im scared" Myra says "you're scared? i have to walk home on my own!"
