Re: The O/T thread! Yes, Opel is GMs European arm, and Vauxhall is the British market re-badge of Opel cars.

Re: The O/T thread! Yep, Opel are one of the european greats.....I think they started on bicycles. Prior to being GM owned the produced some very pretty cars, also famously most of the Wehrmacht's trucks were the Opel Blitz (2 and 4 wheel drive).....If you want an idea of how good they were, just look at the 1936 opel Kadett and compare it to the obvious copy that is the Renault Juvaquatre which was produced from '38/'39 'til the mid 1960's. Good stuff all in all.....not quite Citroen though

Re: The O/T thread! everyone was sat around this round about waiting for the gates to open. then after 10 minutes they opened and there was a sound of starter motors whirling but no ignition. then the sound of the flat twin buzzed into life on the first try and got a few jealous expressions from 3 MG's haha
