Post Side exit exhaust
just went to the broadland ducks 2cv meet and saw a 2cv with a side exit exhaust, when I get mine back I think I am going to have to go for it, really like the idea. I assume that it is the van/pickup version? I also wonder if anyone getting out of the passenger door will burn their legs :(

Has anyone else here tried it?

Many, many times. I never fit the long tailpipes.

The only difference is a retainer on the rear rubber mount - I've never fitted one, and I've never had a swan-neck fracture.

I'd would say it's *practically* impossible to burn your legs on a side exit tail pipe!

i sort of assumed I could just wack the short pipe on with no real problems. It seemed to me that the short pipe should be less wearing on the silencer.

i guess it depends how old the exhaust system is. 24 year old exhaust systems tend to fall to pieces anyway i guess!
