 BMW bike engine
My brother's a BMW bike rider. Whilst eyeing up his latest bike the other day (some fancy-dan tourer thing) it occured to me that I could whip out the engine and stick it in my 2CV. Which brings me to my question: Assuming that I used a flat-twin, how easy would it be to convert? Has anyone on this forum done such a thing? What would it involve?

 Re: BMW bike engine
Ha-haa! How long would it take to remove the engine from the bike? Could I do it while brother has his afternoon nap?

 Re: BMW bike engine
He's rather partial to port. This could help me to get around the angle grinder noise issue.

Snowy
There are two quite different BMW bike engines, the old style R-series 'Airhead' and the modern R-series 'Oilhead'. Which sort interests you? I have an R100/7 and an R100GS-Paris Dakar, both of the earlier variety.

Not sure. I'll ask my bredren and see what he reckons. He's a total petrol-head (works for some car company called McLaren, or something).
