Forgot to mention that the 400 is endeed max 400 kg and 350 kg and so on but the 400 kg is also related to the room available, hence the higher roof on AK 400 It's related, but not directly - a 400 has a longer and taller body, but also heavier-duty running gear than a 250. If you look at Acads, the High-Top Acad would have had the same 450kg payload as the normal Acad, despite the extra room.

Ah, but if you look back to the first few pages of this thread then you'll note the differences Viking has outlined between the AK 250 & the AZU 250!! AK 250 on an Ami 6 chassis & big spring cans..? all 250's are AZU, though, surely?!

IIRC, they had an Ami Super front anti-roll bar as standard. Can't think why...

 Re: 2cv Vans: Dummies Guide
So was a Dyane 400 the same as an Acadiane or some sort of in between the 400 and the Acadiane? Or just the name used in some countries? Miarke

 Re: 2cv Vans: Dummies Guide
Dyane 400, or Dyane 6 400 sometimes, was what the Acadiane was called when it was first launched. Not sure when it changed to Acadiane, but quite quickly.

The weird thing about that though, Pete, is that it's a late (post '82-ish) badge. I know for certain that some "Acadianes" did come with old-type badges, so I presume the Dyane 400 moniker must have been continued for some markets.
