Post 2CV Mojo has gone........
.......its just naffed off.

Ive been driving a mk5 cortina saloon and a BX 14 saloon and they are amusing me very much, but 2CV's that rust and go slow have fallen off my radar recently. Anyone want to post some 2CV awesomeness in all its forms to get me going (ooo'errr)

So come on I2F folks, blow my bloody doors off

Well there's your problem straight off. Admittedly it can happen when the 2cv's packed away in the garage with big holes in it. I spent a long time without one and couldn't really remember why I was interested in them, until I got behind the wheel again. Pick a sunny day and go out for a spin, it all comes flooding back with a huge grin. :D

And max is right, pull your finger out!

I'd say the most awesome thing about 2cving is the people. Thats always the thing I miss about other classic car events that I've been to. I'm in no position to judge, but I would say that driving a MK5 cortina doesn't come with the ready made international social scene the 2cv does?

Hi Matt ....it's the "time of the year" matey ....you prob'ly aint been to a camp since last year,it's been a long sh*te winter and maybe you've forgotten the feeling of knowing that you're driving something different
I got the same feeling a few years ago [in 2004 .....after 31 years of driving "A" series cars] ...I'd got used to my [then] BX and by the time April came along I was just about ready to sell the 2CV.
Fortunately, just as we'd arranged a weeks holiday [just Lin & Meself] ....the exhaust fell off my BX and Linda's Matitz got broken into.
We had no other option but to take my 2CV ......I came back from that holiday with the realisation that nothing could replace my 2CV.
Just jump into the 2CV ....put a 1000 miles on in a week .....you'll see what I mean .... and you'll re-discover what youv'e been missing ;)

btw .... Mk V Cortina? ....BX 14? :? ..... I used to take the p*ss out of them 25 years ago .....for being "normal" everyday boring cars.....they still are, compared to a 2CV/Dyane/Ami.

see you in a field somewhere this year ... ;)
