 Re: Front spot light
i like the idea of a single spot, its particularly useful on the kerbside if you drive in fog. I had a pivotable search lamp ( a bit like the US police and old hotrods do too) on the door of my ripple at one point, came in handy when setting up tents at meetings too, especially if you got there in the dark. I still have it somewhere, its an old english brand im sure, chromed etc.

 Re: Front spot light
AIUI, even though separate front fog & spot lamps aren't MOTable, they still have to be fitted in pairs for construction & use regs.

 Re: Front spot light
I like the way you're thinking James. I was also going to fit a single fog lamp on the front of mine if I couldn't find the paperclips, but there's not much room for one now that I have. I do hope that you're wrong about fitting in pairs Adrian, two lamps when fitted 'back in the day' were usually 1 spot 1 fog, but there have been so many new laws introduced recently, <sighs> that I wouldn't be surprised if you are right.

 Re: Front spot light
I'd like one on J - but I've enough trouble getting the headlamp bulbs to work to work together at any given time, say like MOT time, that I ain't gonna bother just yet!

 Re: Front spot light
not quite on e of those, but you get the idea. it was mounted thru the drivers door on my ripple, just above the doorhandle and the door swage, where the late cars have their door mirrors. it didnt have anything inside the car, so to turn it, you loosened off the lower large wing nut, it has a handle on top of the lamp so you manually turn. nice stuff!
