Post Front spot light
Thanks for the advice on the shorter headlamp bar peeps, Now for another largely unnecessary question:
At the same time as putting on a shorter light bar, I'd like to put on a single spot on the front bumper with a yellow bulb in. I was thinking instead of faffing around with fitting more wires/relays, could the set up for the rear fog be utilised, so when you instead of the rear fog, when you press the button, the spot light comes on instead? Surely this wouldn't take as much time/effort to wire up, as you would simply be cutting a wire and in it's place running and earthing one to the front bumper? Is this a good idea or am I talking bollocks?
Thanks,
J
P.S. I don't understand anything about electricity 'n stuff, so I may have just posted a load of rubbish!

If your car's 1980 or later, you'll need a rear fog for the MOT. Apart from that...

I wouldn't bother messing with the Fog lamp (not only because of the MOT), some spots come in kit form with switches included, if not you can find some brilliant auto electrics suppliers online and will find loads of types of switch and wiring them in SAFELY isn't very difficult.

Sounds like a real nice idea, I love those yellow continental bulbs.

Good luck,
Shane.

It's a '50s thing.

In which case, wouldn't it have been intended for use as a fog light, not a spot light? ;)
