As far as I know the three facts are unrelated. I'll try and dig up some info on it though.

went to buy a Safari window VW once( over 20 yrs ago), the give away was the empty blue circle bags lying in the back

passed on that one
kicking myself now cause 1/2 day with the kango and id have had a nice little nest egg by now!

Its amazing how MOT testers can be taken in by hot melt glue instead of a weld bead too... Infact with enough bitumen paint they can be fooled by cardboard and hot melt glue its said.

it's not my car and I've asked the owner if he can avoid involving me in any repair process that may occur. Being the passenger in a car with dual controls is brilliant fun.
