Post 2cv camping car
Good evening guys!
I'm trying to find a kit to make a small camping car out of my 2cv.
Anybody knows how to do it?
Thanks!

Boot box, a few pieces of wood to make it all level and a mattress type thing.

Vitor,

have a look at the 'your A series' forum and the topics About Berties Bedouin and my Ami6 break. We're both modifying our cars to use for camping, hopefully that'll be some help to you?

If you had a hatchback conversion and are a bit handy at the DIY you could try making something like this.

You could get a cheap tarp from a camping shop, and work out a way to attach it, maybe that sticky velcro would do it. As for a side awning, the simplest would surely be to tuck it in under the roof.

I know not a lot of help but maybe some inspiration.

I was thinking more about this last night, and particularly about the boot area. I suppose if you've not got a hatchback conversion it's be quite easy to prop the boot lid half open, so that it was flat, and have a similar kind of fabric arrangement to give you some weather/insect protection.

Then I drifted off into all sorts of lifting roofs so you could stand up inside the car, but they start getting a bit complicated. I'm sure though it'd be quite easy to come up with something very versatile, a lot of it no doubt comes down to your needs though.

One thing I'd definitely go for is side shelter, you can pick up cheap fabric tarps from a lot of outdoor shops, or places like Decathlon, and attaching them should be very easy.

Hello guys,

The Portuguese team is invading the area...
I guess Vitor is looking for something like this blue van style...

Cheers,

Not totally aware of Vitor intentions, but this discussion started up at the Portuguese forum due to this blue citro picture taken at Algarve Carnaval Meeting. (funny that Dutch and Portuguese license plates are so similar...)

Cheers,
