 1987 Bamboo "Slamboo"
I'm guessing my latest aquisition doesn't really need an awful lot of introduction to most of you here but here goes anyway. Having sold my old Discovery, I was left with a 2CV shaped wad of cash in my pocket so, as my racer is somewhat low, uncomfortable, noisy, cold and generally impractical. So, after discussions with Russ, we came to an agreement which saw me taking ownership of another low, uncomfortable and noisy but warm 2CV So, what of Slamboos reliability, I don't want to tempt fate but, we made it back from Kent to Birmingham without incident and up to Firkin Freezin' and back once again, without incident!

I am happy to see that UDAC still somewhere out there... I am kind of an UDAC member since 93... I was invited in UDAC from the Phil Oatley...

What is UDAC? I'm guessing it's not ''Upper Dublin Aquatic Club''...

Yay, I've had my first hazard warning light usage moment in Slambo........... But, I'd run out of petrol-what a gimp eh? Best bit is though, I'm assuming the bloody awful coughing and spluttering I was getting with a light throttle were just some shit in the carb cos it's gone now, presumably sucked through the jets with the last few drops of petrol! That'll teach me to try and do 200 (hard) miles on a tank!

Great stuff Jon. How about meeting up, over the weekend and going for a little convoy? Get Brian and Snowy to come along too, would be cool.
