 Re: Firkin Freezin 2010 snowed in south derbyshire this afternoon then froze into a road network of ice rinks. Doubtful that I will be making an appearance sadly as I am working saturday 6 until i get somewhere like finished...  but you never know. I want a full write up and lots of pictures though from the attendees!

Re: Firkin Freezin 2010 Shame you can't make it Timmy. Side roads are like glass in Wirksworth - don't expect any majorly significant snow events between now and weekend.
Temps hovering around freezing most of the weekend, with a spot of wind chill to take the edge of the warmth. Light snow & sleet showers should help to make it feel as raw as a f**k. Convoy, beer and rugby sound like the solution, and I don't care for rugby!

Re: Firkin Freezin 2010 Paul, yes-I'm going to FF. I must be mad! So, a few questions of my own; as people may be aware, my racer is rather low-is this likely to cause me any grief, in other words, am I gonna be able to get there? Secondly, I've got some stuff here I'd like to get to Russ at some point fairly soon, anybody that lives fairly local to him or likely to see him soon going that fancies taking these bits please? Re: Firkin Freezin 2010 You'll definitely get to the pub and into the car park, but I've only ever seen the entrance to the field under 6 inches of snow, so I can't tell you what the gateway's like!
