POR claim all sorts of wonderful things - but they're very adamant that you need to follow all sorts of magical clean-prep-incant-dance steps if it's going to work.
I had a google for paints for the AK's floors, and came up with a couple of "cold-galvo-paint" products. I spoke to a supplier, and they pointed me to some of the detail instructions, which basically said they're great on freshly blasted surfaces, but for wire-brushed, you can't do better than Rustoleum 769. Bear in mind this outfit sell a lot of different paints, and this was one of their cheaper ones...

Perhaps I'll stick to the Waxoyl method then! I've never tried any POR products myself so it's interesting to hear feedback.
