Adventure bumpers were clearly popular back then!

Aside from the cars, another interesting aspect of these pics is the number of ridge tents as opposed to dome tents. If I take our big old skool Ariel ridge anywhere now it can easily be the only ridge tent on an entire campsite.
Also, I suppose, pop up tents are poplar now as well. I loved the Queacha villes in cz!

Micky White had the Pigbin Acad, and sold the plate off it to somebody local for not very much (I was a bit miffed - I'd have paid more for it!). It was on a Volvo V40 for a while, and has been on that Landie for a few years. I see it probably once a month or so. Dunno what happened to the Acad - it was a bit crunchy, and for sale at Louis B's. Pete Cross still has DY C1T, and still comes along to events - usually bump into him at Reg and/or Int'l.

jesus, i'm pretty sure it was 20 years ago this weekend we were at this camp... where's the time gone? My Dad has still got & more surprisingly, still wears the pair of shorts he bought in Penzance after stopping there on the convoy route!
