So this is another car that Tamiya should have done! ..Imagine a Sand Scorcher alternative build on the Citroen 2CV; light, inexpensive and indestructable - just like the ol´ beetle. Only big diffrence: the 'boxer' sits in the nose and drives the front wheels rather than in the back like the VW. My project is based on the FF01 chassis with fwd and the motor all the way out in the nose just like the real thing. I have liftet the suspension to get ground clearence and a real Baja stance. The suspension travel is not quite good enough yet, I need to fab. new shock towers. Wheels are from the Falcon, I will cut new tire patterns for a bit more grip. Might also do some 2cv 3-bolt wheels at some point:-D The body is from Carson, not brilliant in detail and in very thin Polycarb. I think I will do some bracing to keep the body in shape. The pics. are not great, sorry. I will update as the car comes along

Well, just a small update on this project. I have modified the front fenders, moving them a few mm backwards and narrowing them about 10mm each. I also opened up the roof, want to have the soft top rolled half way back. I have installed the motor, a GT Tuned 25t, it barely fits under the bodyshell. A good motor for this 'zero grip' power house

This project is moving slowly forward. I have started to detal the bodyshell with split lines and a canvas roof. I think I'll mount Grasshopper style front lights near the A-pillars and maybe a rollcage and interior etc. Well, I hope you guys like this little Citroén!
