Hopefully it will turn up without too much damage. A customer lady owner’s 2cv (red 86 speciel) disappeared during Christmas in Malestroit. She rang yesterday to tell us that her 2cv was found by police in Vannes parked outside the thief’s parents place. How stupid can you be when you are young? Anyway 2cv is buggered big time, can’t start or roll. Going to inspect the 2cv next week. Photos soon

Hi Roy
It's a car of a friend/client of mine, who is not familiar with internet.
I'm helping to warn as much 2cv people as possible, to find it the 2cv.

I'm glad it's been found, all to often they get stolen, never to be seen again.

A Reasonably Happy ending! 8-)

Been to see the 2cv mentioned above.
Goodbye 2cv no more. From here on sadly parts only.
Chassis buggered, body pushed back, none of the door can open. The rest you can see on these photos. Young kids, no insurance. Kids taken to court but they have no money. Lady devastated and needs to fork out 3000 euros to get a similar 2cv.
Bloody hell.

Viking,
it's strange that the bodyshell has been affected so badly by a fairly light impact on the front corner of the chassis.
Maybe the chassis wasn't in very good shape, which is why it folded so readily?

A few years back, one of my customers crashed into a VW Golf which ran a red light and although the bonnet, light bar, engine cowling of the 2CV were toast, the bodyshell didn't need any work.
Looking at your pictures, perhaps the thieves have wrenched the front doors forwards, distorting the hinges, which is why they won't close properly?

The Golf was written off, btw, but the 2CV is still in use... ;)

ken.

P.s. a few pics here...

Bastards...
Looked like a good solid car.. Now f@cked up by some bored kids...
Don't the kids have parents so the owner can get some (insurance)money...?

The woman will try everything but her insurance are not interested in helping her at all. To them its an old Citroen 2cv of no value. The kids parents may face the music after the court has decided on the kids first. She is told not to expect anything.

Ken both front floors are folded. Door post A and B pushed back. Right front chassis rail push up and I can feel a small ripple behind the shock absorber on the usual spot. Sadly the 2cv is written off and can't ever be restored. Its a parts car from now on.
