By the looks of it, that's probably a Portuguese built shell as well.

Yep, there's something not right there - G+W wollies came out in October 1985 (in France - probably a bit later here). The earliest you can get is a C reg. By the looks of it, that's probably a Portuguese built shell as well.

Where on the Ad does it say its a D*lly. In fact it says its a white Special. Someone has just sprayed the wings green. You are suspicious about something that's not there.

There's a whole host of anoraky things I can see on that car that convince me it's actually a late 80s D*lly, but I don't want to bore you!

I am sure you are right Jono, but where's the advantage to the guy that's selling it. 84 special versus 87 D*lly what's the difference. Surly if its worth what he is asking [not sure it is] it would depend on whether its a good car or not.

It probably wouldn't stop me buying it. I'd think twice if it were a trader selling it though.

There may be nothing dodgy, it might be reshelled. But it is not what it says it is, and with no explanation as to why then one must treat it with an element of doubt. I'm sure it's not stolen, rung, bent or anything, and I'm sure the
majority of us wouldn't think twice about looking at it if we were buying a car, but if I was parting with my hard earned then I wouldn't want to buy something I couldn't be sure wasn't stolen.
