I have a friend a Chile and she's told me there are a few still around there. She lives in Santiago and there was a factory producing 2cv's in the city for a time. I think it was the strange booted version "Citronetta".

Ah well, I may get a chance to go out there sometime in the future and will let you all know of the situation when that happens. Just don't hold your breath ;)

The white 4x4 is the one in the Church. It's probably the only 4x4 IES ever built.

which one is the IES? and what does that stand for?

remind me, where else were 2cvs built, and what makes them different? Anybody with an APUA-HELP book handy fancy sending some emails? lets get some worldwide members here and see how the 2cv scene differs around the world...

The thing that looks like the bastard offspring of a 2cv and some boring bland plastic shed.
This one's the 4x4, but the normal 4x2s look identical.

It stands for INDUSTRIAS Eduardo SAL-LARI S.A. <yawn>

Julian Marsh's Citroenet site covers damn near everything in a fair bit of detail...

If anyone has a FAF or possibly a pony in a repairable condition i'd be interested
(chassis condition no problem)

Cos they are so bloody ugly , i can't think of a nicer Pick up
then 4x4 it for fun
and bob's your uncle
One really cool car and just to go one further
I could probably design a new chassis to sit it on that won't rust out
and get it finished
Before Adrian gets his mehari done!!

I've only got a pic of a Pony at work, surveying on Corfu a few years back with my friend Stefan.
