Where do we go for Non-Related 2cv topics?
I am sure somewhere amongst our fellow 2cv'ers someone will know the answer to this!
How do I play something I downloaded from BBC i-player, from my macbook to the tv?
I have a HDMI thingy on my tv, does that help?

Im not 100% sure as you have too fancy'ier operating system for my liking . However. Does your laptop have a HDMI out slot on the side? if so go get a hdmi lead (about £10) and see what happens when you plug it into the tv. I assume it will be as easy as that and you will either get a single desktop on the tv screen. or a dual desktop on both. If you have no HDMI slot i assume you will have a VGA slot so try the same thing with a VGA cable. If Apples are as "easy" to use as they should be, i dont see why it wont be as simple as plug and play. Hope that helps a bit

I use iplayer-dl ( http://po-ru.com/projects/iplayer-downloader/ ) to download stuff "properly" from iplayer - it's saved as an MP3 (radio) or MP4 (TV) file on your hard disk. You could then burn that onto a DVD and play it in most DVD players. Whenever, not just within a week.

Which macbook is it? Apple sell various mini dvi adapters that will enable you to connect your laptop to a projector/external display/tv via vga, dvi and probably hdmi. You're only sending the signal to the tv so although iplayer is riddled with drm (which is intended prevent people sharing the files) whatevers on your laptop screen should show on the tv. toomany2cvs wrote: Simon Crook wrote: How do I play something I downloaded from BBC i-player, from my macbook to the tv?
