 Re: A bit annoyed
Would be nice to see this not turning into the sort of endless thread that so typicalises 2cvgb & many other forums in the way of the picture img<of the downs syndrome boy on the athletic track> and accompanying slogan. Can't say I've ever noticed any animosity Paul. I do remember an excellent set of tongue in cheek forum rules being posted somewhere too, - this is nice though! http://neo240sx.ca/Nismo/Posting/Posting.html

I think you are absolutely right Roy, which is the point I have been trying to make. Hope you are well and business is good.

 Re: A bit annoyed
The locked thread was called will there be an international in 2010, the question was answered. Thread locked - no problem really. I assume when there is more info from Coops and Carol a new thread will be opened to keep all up you date.

 Re: A bit annoyed
Let's have a look at what i actually said shall we? Quote: 2CVGB are among the relatively long list of people who don't like I2F So, no mention of: Quote: "stuffy/rivet counter/ooh, you've got the wrong screws holding that indicator stalk together brigade" or: or even: Quote: the idea that 2CVGB are full of old fogies that hate having fun The remark I made in passing about 2cvgb 'not liking us much', which you felt the need to question was nothing to do with the main aim of the post, and as such, it got taken wildly out of context, quite needlessly. However, you demanded (three times, I think) an answer to your question. That was supplied here: Quote: "Competition". All "traditional clubs" are facing serious competition from internet forums. "I don't need to pay to join, I can get the info for free" You are right about self fullfilling prophecies however, as you just demonstrated by mentioning it three times, then moving onto another rant here, you seem to have made folk believe that whilst we've annoyed a few folk and put a few noses out of joint, that there's some full scale war betwixt the two organisations. There isn't. Get over it.

 Re: A bit annoyed
Don't be annoyed. I started the topic on whether there would be an internation or not. My question was answered The mods need to make sure all topics stay on topic otherwise potentially useful information is lost amongst argument/debate/etc... I don't use the 2cvGB forum. I can never log in because I can't remember my username or password. Aesthetically, I think this site looks great which makes me want to use it more, hence I check in at least once a day. Don't be annoyed. It's just a website. An incredible website. A great website on which to meet new friends and chat and whatever. But nonetheless, just a website.

 Re: A bit annoyed
Sam, I couldn't of put that any more succinctly, myself. I really like this forum, but I do sometimes feel that disagreements(whether it's on the running of the forum/something said or implied, or on a technical/mechanical issue...whatever), can leave a bit of a nasty taste in the mouth, so to speak. I'm very much someone who likes to get along with everybody and don't like to cause friction, I know you can't please everybody all the time, but I think we should just accept that each person has their own views and they should be tolerated, not shot down in flames. Can I just say, this isn't actually pointed at any one person, or persons, I'm just putting across a bystander's point of view and I don't want to be pulled into anything SO!! Lets get back to talking about flat-twin aircooled Citroens!!

It has been suggested elsewhere Russ.

Not to worry Sean, I'm sure it'll be posted here for your perusal. I can't find it though.
